This highly versatile new software from 1C Company is free of redundant functionality and is easily customized to match your company's accounting and management practices. It offers a user-friendly interface and "quick-start" capability. 1C:Small Business increases company efficiency by offering a wide range of management tools to decision makers as well as facilitating the daily activities of employees. 1C:Small Business can be downloaded in an open-source format.

1C:Small Business eliminates the need to store dozens of spreadsheets, documents, and reports across your desk and computer memory. All data is recorded and stored in a single database.

1C:Small Business is capable of recording all your company’s inventory transactions and other events, both scheduled and completed. These can include (but are not lim ited to) obligations to customers, customer orders, order statuses, employee tasks, planned resource allocation, job sheets, and production and sales quotas.

A single infobase includes:

  • a customer database,
  • banking and cash operations, online banking, and payment schedules,
  • settlements with counterparties and payments to employees,
  • material, inventory, and product accounting,
  • customer orders and job orders,
  • work and service planning and accounting,
  • production activity planning and accounting,
  • production load planning,
  • commercial operations (such as retail sales),
  • human resources and payroll management,
  • cost and management accounting,
  • assets and capital,
  • profits and losses,
  • financial planning (budgeting),
  • and more.

The application includes forms for entering almost any standard document for trade, inventory, or production accounting, or for cash flow.

A wide variety of reports quickly provides business owners, managers, and employees with all the data they need in an easily readable format and with a customizable level of detail.

1C:Small Business is not intended for payment and taxes accounting, for which 1C:Accounting Suite should be used instead.

The application is capable of providing service to multiple companies or individuals operating in a single area of business. Should the business’s scale or structure, management processes, or company workflow change, the application can be reconfigured quickly and inexpensively to reflect these changes.

1C:Small Business is recommended for companies with up to 10 workstations.

1C:Small Business is based on 1C:UNF 1.4, a management application for small businesses.

1C LLC is the owner of 1C:Small Business, it is a free business application, is distributed "as is", and can be used as a basis for development of your own applications on 1C:Enterprise 8 platform. This program is distributed WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY and 1C Company provides support for this application at 1C:Developer Network forum. In order to use 1C:Small Business or applications that are based of it, it is required to own or acquire valid licenses of 1C:Enterprise platform. To study 1C:Small Business, you can run it on 1C:Enterprise (training version), keeping in mind the limitations of the training version.

Installation instructions

1C:Small Business 1.4 is available in two options: demo intended for study purpose and have certain limitations, and full version, that requires a license for 1C:Enterprise platform to operate.

Installing the demo version

  1. Download 1C:Small Business 1.4 Demo installer of the latest version of 1C:Small Business 1.4.
  2. Extract the files from the archive, run setup.exe, and follow the installation wizard instructions.

Installing the full version

  1. Purchase a license for 1C:Enterprise platform.
  2. Download latest version of 1C:Enterprise platform depending on your operating system.
  3. Install 1C:Enterprise platform following instructions in Chapter 2. 1C:Enterprise Installation of 1C:Enterprise. Administration guide.
  4. Register purchased licenses.
  5. Download 1C:Small Business 1.4 Applied solution template installer of the latest version of 1C:Small Business 1.4.
  6. Extract the files from the archive, run setup.exe, and follow the installation wizard instructions.
  7. To start 1C:Enterprise, click Start, point to All Programs, point to 1C Enterprise 8, and then click 1C Enterprise.
  8. In the 1C:Enterprise startup dialog box, click Add.
  9. In the Add infobase/folder dialog box, click Create infobase and then click Next.
  10. In the list of configurations, select 1C:Small Business/1C:Small Business 1.4/<first row (with latest version)> and then click Next.
  11. Specify a name for your infobase (any one you like as it is only used in the list of infobases) and then clickNext.
  12. Specify a path where infobase data will be stored (on a storage with enough space for future data) and then click Next.
  13. Click Ready to complete the wizard.
  14. Select the infobase by name that you specified for it earlier.
  15. Click 1C:Enterprise.
  16. In the User field, select Administrator, and leave the Password field blank.
  17. Click OK.
  18. You will see the quick options window.

Technical requirements of online demo

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer ver. 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0 for Microsoft Windows. Version 7.0 is recommended.
  • Mozilla Firefox ver. 3.x or later for Microsoft Windows and Linux.
  • Google Chrome ver. 12 for Microsoft Windows.
  • Safari ver. 4.0 or later for MacOS X ver. 10.5 or later.

Attention! Any pop-up windows blockers need to be disabled in your browser. Execution of JavaScript and use of Cookies need to be enabled in your browser settings.

In case of slow connection to the Internet, for example GPRS, you can use a traffic economy mode. To try it run online demo (slow connection).
